Maslen Australia commenced in 1994 with the purchase of a trading entity called Vu-Rite. Mr. John Maslen and Family purchased the business, renamed it and immediately began the task of developing a product more aesthetically appealing, more flexible, tougher, and more energy efficient than other like products on the market.
Mr. Maslen achieved tremendous success in the mid to late 90’s with the conception of his “thermally broken” insert frame. This combined with the utilization of what was traditionally wasted heat energy from lighting ballasts resulted in a dramatic reduction in the power consumption of Maslen glass door inserts.
Those early developments earned Maslen Australia the National Trust’s prestigious John Herbert Gold Award for Excellence in the field of energy conservation and innovation in refrigeration hence the Maslen "Energy Saver" inserts series was born.
In 2004 Maslen Australia Pty Ltd (Queensland) was sold as a manufacturing licence and a second licensee commenced manufacturing in Western Australia.
Advanced Refrigeration Technology, the licensing Company, owns the technology and manufactures the glass panels supplied to the manufacturing licensee’s.
The new structure has allowed the group to invest heavily in machinery which has enabled us to manufacture much higher volumes of product whilst maintaining our high standard of quality.
At Maslen we use the latest technology warm edge design and argon fill our double and triple glazed panels to minimize the electrical energy required to prevent condensation which subsequently maximizes the energy savings for you the customer.
